Prompted by the realization YHC has the Q tomorrow for Distillery and knowing backblast from last Friday was not completed, YHC got busy typing after lunch for a quick remembrance of events of last week’s UA.<\/p>\n
Spicoli had requested a Q last Wed at Mayhem and YHC volunteered since it had been a while since an early AM visit to the big city.\u00a0 Time to plan was short and not knowing all the current go to spots in this wide ranging AO, YHC pulled out an oldie but a goodie – No Drama Just Queen.\u00a0 All exercises somewhat related to the all Queen playlist.<\/p>\n
Pax began assembling from various directions and we started with a little different Warmorama.\u00a0 Bohemian Rhapsody with movements that corresponded to the changes in the music – stretches at first then moving thru\u00a0 jab\/cross, running in place, SSHs, monkey humpers, etc.<\/p>\n
We then moved over to the coal pit and partnered up for a little musical Dora. Perform exercise as long as the song while partner ran to the stage area and back.\u00a0 Some did burpees at the turn.<\/p>\n
There are no usable rocks in the immediate vicinity so modification for We Will Rock You\/ We Are the Champions<\/p>\n
Modification was peoples chair with somewhat in time clapping on the beats of WWRY.\u00a0 We moved to Mike Tysons for WATC.\u00a0 Songs over – moving on.<\/p>\n
Real crowd pleaser was next and one that Wobegon confirmed we used to do more often.\u00a0 Under Pressure (aka partner assisted) merkins.\u00a0 We knocked these out in descending order by 2s – 10,8,6,4<\/p>\n
That was so much fun we moved on to something we love – burpees.\u00a0 Song was Crazy Little Thing Called Love and a burpee was done each time Freddy (don’t count the echos) sings “love”.\u00a0 Maybe not as much as Thunder burpees but still sufficient.<\/p>\n
A few suicides to Killer Queen and back to launch for Mary.<\/p>\n
No real connection to the song here for the ab portion – music was Somebody to Love.\u00a0 We knocked out a few standards before a surprise Sumo Drill (maybe that is a connection) was called to finish off the song.\u00a0 And we’re done.<\/p>\n

Schlitz and Burns got in an EC run<\/p>\n
Rollback came rolling in from another corner of Bailey Park wearing a weight vest – unknown exactly what his preworkout story was but probably involved burpees<\/p>\n
Mumble chatter was strong and most seemed to tolerate the theme\/music – Lamb Chop was even heard to say something to the effect that the music was better back then – Thanks. We old timers think so too<\/p>\n
Naturally Schlitz nailed the thigh slaps and claps to We Will Rock You – the rest won’t be pro drummers anytime soon<\/p>\n
Several of this group were not alive when Mike Tyson was champion -#makemefeelevenolder<\/p>\n
Sumo Drill was a new experience for several -Not sure all the victors. Rematches may be called for. Rachael Ray was a worthy opponent for YHC<\/p>\n
Coffeeteria at Debeen was well attended including some runners and Ziggy who showed up sweat free.<\/p>\n
