I think it all goes back to being raised on the John Denver and The Muppet&#8217;s \u201cA Christmas Together\u201d album, which is the only recorded work I know I have owned on 8-track, tape, vinyl, CD, and streaming platforms. It\u2019s my \u2018Nevermind\u2019, my \u2018OK Computer\u2019, my \u2018Sgt. Peppers.\u2019, my &#8216;Dark Side of the Moon&#8217;. Formative stuff.<\/p>\n<p>But anyway, no jams from that album showed up today at UA. You can find that playlist <a href=\"https:\/\/music.apple.com\/us\/playlist\/hail-santa\/pl.u-Ymb0oRytzkgBz\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The workout went like this.<\/p>\n<p>Warm-O-Rama was as traditional and expected as milk and cookies for Santa. When done, we headed over to the big area behind the building.<\/p>\n<p>As the sweet sounds of distorted power chords and galloping high hats poured out of YHC\u2019s workhorse Bluetooth speaker, the Pax received instruction. We\u2019ll do a routine, but when the music breaks with the sound of Santa\u2019s distinct laughter, we all stop to do\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>1 Santa<br \/>\n10 each, except the burpee<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>S<\/strong>ide Straddle Hops<\/li>\n<li><strong>A<\/strong> burpee!<\/li>\n<li><strong>N<\/strong>ordic Skaters<\/li>\n<li><strong>T<\/strong>ie Fighters (maybe a deep cut, this is Arm Swirly Things while holding a lunge position)<\/li>\n<li><strong>A<\/strong>bs (pax choice)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Thang:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Squat-Fluts<\/strong><br \/>\n10 squats\u2026sprint down to the other end\u202610 low flutters<br \/>\nRepeat-O, decrease by 1 till 0.<\/p>\n<p>Mosey Long Way to stage<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pass the exercise:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All pax hold, one does exercise, pass it around the circle. Santa interrupted.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plank up, 0 double count shoulder taps<\/li>\n<li>Hold Al Gore, 10 alternating lunges<\/li>\n<li>Hold Plank, 5 merkins<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To the bench for rotating 10 Irkins, 10 Dips till the Q called it. Long mosey back to start for Mary.<\/p>\n<p>Santa interruption total was 5,<\/p>\n<p>NMM:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Everyone agreed that the Santa laugh was more disturbing than one would like this time of year.<\/li>\n<li>Today&#8217;s crew had some OGs (not the running people, the long-timers) and some newer Pax, which is what you want.<\/li>\n<li>Tami, Lucky Charms, Zesty: keep coming out, y&#8217;all make us better. None of them seemed to have any trouble; maybe Santa-Q needs to up his game for the new blood.<\/li>\n<li>Spicoli was on Spicoli Time, but only barely. The UA Site Q keeps his AO in tip-top shape and supplies his always-appreciated MC throughout.<\/li>\n<li>So it&#8217;s been a year for Rollback. He ended his rookie season, and the guy is still tougher than most of us.<\/li>\n<li>You will be shocked, but Lambchop wanted more burpees and asked to burpee for the 6 to up his number. Of course he did.<\/li>\n<li>Post Hole was clad all in black and made the routines the shortest of work, pretty sure he did an EC run as well.<\/li>\n<li>Tar Heel always makes it look easy, no matter what the Q calls. Not a Wolf Pack of One, but a stand-out dude.<\/li>\n<li>Frank and Beans kept his texted HC and said he was partial to the Voodoo Glow Skulls&#8217; rendition of Felice Navidad. Banger. The 90s were a different time.<\/li>\n<li>Woodpecker will be running up a big old mountain, possibly while chasing a goat (it was unclear in the Coffeeteria) tomorrow, and still came out to keep things loose. Go get it, Woody.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>COT:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qs for UA and Conspiracy are needed<\/li>\n<li>GreeNest Saturday. Come move a couch (or 3)<\/li>\n<li>Next week normal schedule on Christmas Eve, nothing on the big day, back to normal on Boxing Day. Nothing New Year\u2019s Day, unless someone calls an early morning run (looks around\u2026anyone?)<\/li>\n<li>11 Year Anniversary coming up, first Saturday in January. Don\u2019t miss it.<\/li>\n<li>Bev\u2019s Birthday Run January 25th.
