{"id":2382,"date":"2017-09-05T21:40:05","date_gmt":"2017-09-06T01:40:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=2382"},"modified":"2017-09-05T21:40:05","modified_gmt":"2017-09-06T01:40:05","slug":"you-were-there","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2017\/09\/you-were-there\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;You were there?!?&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OK, I am gonna list the exercises here, but I am stuck on a discovery about @Wobegon.<\/p>\n<p>For BRR week, I decided that we would try not to run much but still get in a whipping at #Flatline, so I came up with a constant motion\/transportation plan.\u00a0 The Pax lined up single file facing the exit of the parking lot.\u00a0 The pax did SSHs while the guy in back of the line (YHC) ran to the front and changed exercises.\u00a0 Then Wobegon was in back and moved to the front etc.\u00a0 We continued moving in an Indian Run pattern and only covered about one city block or maybe 1\/3rd mile.\u00a0 But we were always doing some exercises when not the one doing the transportation.\u00a0 Here is the list of exercises with the mode of transportation beside it.\u00a0 We made it through this list and repeated the first three before the 6:08 bell rang, when we returned for Mary.<\/p>\n<p>SSHs &#8212; Run forward x2<br \/>\nIST &#8212; Lunge walk<br \/>\nPlankjacks &#8212; run backwards<br \/>\nOH claps &#8212; Inchworm<br \/>\nMerkins &#8212; Run w hands behind back.<br \/>\nPlank straight &#8212; Crab walk<br \/>\nLow dolly &#8212; Bear crawls<br \/>\nMtn climbers &#8212; Carioca right<br \/>\nFreddie mercury &#8212; Carioca left<br \/>\nCDD &#8212; Bunny hop<br \/>\nElbow plank &#8212; Bear crawl<br \/>\nSquats &#8212; Crawl bears<br \/>\nJack reachers &#8212; Alligator crawl<br \/>\nPeter Parker &#8212; Duck walk<br \/>\nJump squats &#8212; Apollo creed right<br \/>\nParker Peter &#8212; Apollo creed left<br \/>\nLow flutter &#8212; Side squat right<br \/>\nAbe vigodas &#8212; Side squat left<br \/>\nNolan Ryan&#8217;s right &#8212; Frog jump<br \/>\nNolan Ryan&#8217;s. left &#8212; Run w hands on head<\/p>\n<p>Mary &#8212; included one-legged Dolleys (each leg), Mutton Crunches (each leg), Protractor and Juanitas.<\/p>\n<p>COT<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prayers for hurricane victims<\/li>\n<li>Safety, good choices and good habits as students return to school<\/li>\n<li>Safety for BRR runners.<\/li>\n<li>YHC took us out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NMM<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spicoli arrived at a little early, at 5:30:30<\/li>\n<li>Good conversation through much of the workout<\/li>\n<li>Group was forced to stay together, always within about 20 feet of everyone else<\/li>\n<li>Interesting conversation about the merits of renaming a recent former FNG; not sure we came to a conclusion, but I appreciate the concern and willingness to discuss<\/li>\n<li>YHC tried to mix up the exercises but there was a lot of upper body and shoulder stuff, including the bear crawls, crawl bears, crab walks, etc.<\/li>\n<li>All pax worked really hard, and although we could talk some due to the lack of running, we all got a nice sweat and some of it really sucked<\/li>\n<li>It was at the end of the list, just after 0600 that we were doing Nolan Ryans that Wobegon noted to me the appropriateness of the name of the exercise.\u00a0 Then he casually let me know that he was at that game.\u00a0 Yes, he saw Nolan pummel Ventura in person.\u00a0 I remarked that he was probably a kid when that happened and without a beat, he said he was 10 years old.\u00a0 Goes to show that you never know what kind of royalty we have among us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks for the Keys, Beverly.\u00a0 Honor to lead this group!<\/p>\n<p>Burlap<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OK, I am gonna list the exercises here, but I am stuck on a discovery about @Wobegon.
