Okay okay okay. I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING IN THE GLOOM. We are going to get so spoiled and then….WHACK!!!, Summer is gonna buss a cap. Enjoy it while it lasts, right?<\/p>\n
Well I must start at the beginning, and maybe you’ve heard this one before, maybe you haven’t. This routine is the apology letter to everyones favorite gal, The Hill to Somewhere ( formerly the Hill to Nowhere….but she goes somewhere now…so, ya know. Name change required ).<\/p>\n
The last time I Q’ed out at Mayhem, I may <\/em>have disrespected “The Hill” by instructing PAX to stop at the base of the hill, grab their ankles, shake their “arses” in disgust at the hill, and then run to the next pain station without patronizing the lovely lady at all. #SMH. Funny as it were ( to me only ), it was a little childish and I felt an apology was needed. Sooooo, that’s where today’s beatdown came from.<\/p>\n Let us begin….<\/p>\n Warm-O-Rama:<\/strong><\/p>\n Crash was there when I pulled in. We briefly discussed our Coffee exit plan IF<\/em> no one else showed up. That was short lived. We spotted two cars coming in semi hot. “Maybe they’ll keep going”, Nope! Schools out. It was Workbench and another car we didn’t notice….more on that later.<\/p>\n YHC got right to business. Mission Statement, 5 CP… Perfecto. Then another car had pulled in. Subfloor to the rescue.<\/p>\n Usual suspects followed. SSH, IST, Abe Vagoda, Whirly…Little leg stretch. Plank routine. Enough of that…we had places to be and a Hill to say I’m sorry to.<\/p>\n The THANG:<\/strong><\/p>\n Grabbed some jump ropes and moseyed over to the big beautiful hill. Plan was simple for the first part.<\/p>\n Partner up. One PAX does jump ropes down at the bottom of the hill while the other PAX ( mounted ( ran up ) the Hill to Somewhere. At the top, the PAX was instructed to do 45 Monkey Humpers….ya know. Then run back down and relieve the jump roper.. Flip flop.<\/p>\n This was fun.<\/em><\/p>\n We got through two rounds of this. While jumping, roping, running and humping, we learned that our secret car driver was none other than Tarheel. A long lost PAX who should actually be renamed ( Woodscrews ). HE IS FAST! I say woodscrews because of the line from Dazed and Confused from Mr. McConaughey…aka Wooderson ” Hope you brought your woodscrews cause you’re about to get your doors blown off ” https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ujmroCC561k<\/p>\n Fast.<\/p>\n Anyway, on to the next round as we had successfully paid homage to our sweet lady.<\/p>\n Back down to the main lot.<\/p>\n Pretty simple plan here too. No more partners, every man for themselves…but no man was left behind.<\/p>\n 4 Corners style around the lot.<\/p>\n Murder Bunny ( without a block. almost like frog jumps ) 1\/4 way around.<\/p>\n – 25 Diamond Merkins<\/p>\n Murder bunny to top.<\/p>\n – 50 Squats<\/p>\n Murder bunny and\\or lunge walk.<\/p>\n – 25 Diamond Merkins<\/p>\n Murder bunny and\\or lunge walk.<\/p>\n – 50 LBC’s<\/p>\n OUCH.. Got through 2 rounds of this and it was time for Mary.<\/p>\n MARY:<\/strong><\/p>\n Penguin crunch, Cobra Crunch, Mutton Crunch L&R. Time.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n COT:<\/strong><\/p>\n Announcements:<\/p>\n Adopt a Street in Clemmons this Saturday 6-15.<\/p>\n Prayers:<\/p>\n Prayers for traveling family and PAX members.<\/p>\n Prayers for Subfloors son Noah. Anemia…Taking Iron Supplements.<\/p>\n YHC took us out.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n NMM:<\/strong><\/p>\n Well.. That was fun. Time zoomed by.
