And another glorious day in the gloom it was.<\/p>\n
YHC arrived a “little” early; wanted to get everything set up and ready to go. 60 Minutes and Sour Mash were already at Parliament when I arrived. I quickly zipped right by Mash and truck moseyed <\/em>down to the back gate. To my surprise, it was wide open!? I wasn’t going to have to jog down to the football field to set up. How kind of the folks at Southwest Elementary.<\/p>\n I was totally stoked about the beatdown this morning. I had always wanted to utilize the football field, yet in almost 3 years in the Gloom, I never had. ( No lighting in the back…really dark…fall down, go boom. PAX get hurt. Let’s not do that ). Fortunately this time of year the Sky Q takes care of the lighting for us.<\/p>\n Soooo, I set up, and Dashed<\/em> back to the main lot.<\/p>\n Let us begin.<\/p>\n Warm-O-Rama:<\/strong><\/p>\n Greetings and such… Mission Statement, 5 CP…check.<\/p>\n Usual suspects followed….EXCEPT… we started with IST, again. Adobe abides<\/em><\/p>\n Ran through a few others, but had to cut it short. We needed to go grab a block \\ per team, and WALK down to the football field.<\/p>\n The THANG:<\/strong><\/p>\n I thought a little DORA would be in order for the morning, but with a twist. I affectionately dubbed this one: ” Dora Tries Out For Football “.<\/p>\n Here’s how it went. Set 1 – 100 Mike Tysons<\/p>\n Set 2 – 150 OH Press<\/p>\n Set 3 – 200 LBC’s<\/p>\n Set 4 – 250 Goblet Squats<\/p>\n Set 5 – 300 Block Curls<\/p>\n Set 6 – 350 SSH<\/p>\n Some made it to Set 6, Hell bent on trying to “finish” and get to the secret prize behind door #7 ( there was an extra space that said “TBD – Don’t get this far. (( There’s a monster at the end of this book))”; fortunately it was time to make our way back to the main lot for some Mary.<\/p>\n MARY:<\/strong><\/p>\n Everyone circled up and we were happy to see that Huckleberry and Workbench had made it back from their 4 mile run ( Beasts ), in time to join us.<\/p>\n More LBC’s, Cobra Crunch, Mutton Crunch…all IC. Then I handed it over to Huck, much to the disapproval of ALL the other PAX. Finished with 3, Hucks Perfect Merkins. ( Hurpees? )<\/p>\n TIME.<\/p>\n COT:<\/strong><\/p>\n Announcements:<\/p>\n Adopt a Street, Clemmons…This Saturday 6-15. Check Slack.<\/p>\n Prayers:<\/p>\n Continued prayers for Sour Mashes Boss and his bosses mother. Boss found out he also has a blockage along with previously mentioned prayer requests for he and his mom.<\/p>\n Prayers for DQs brothers family. Sister in Law going through cancer treatments.<\/p>\n Prayers for Mia’s Dad. Taking him to Alzheimers\u00a0 \\ Dementia care today.<\/p>\n YHC took us out.<\/p>\n NMM:<\/strong><\/p>\n Holy crap…that one hurt \\ me.<\/p>\n You guys on the other hand…..CRUSHED IT.<\/p>\n The mumblechatter started out strong…don’t really recall too much after the 100 Mike Tysons. That may have been because I was trying to keep up with Cruiser! LOL.<\/p>\n I do recall a few comments that sounded something like ” this seems like a whole lot of running!? ” But technically….<\/em><\/p>\n Gentlemen, again, thank you. I’ve said it before and will continue to. You guys make it worth all the silly crap we do out here. Truly all brothers.<\/p>\n Keep it going. Keep EH’ing…keep getting guys out of the fart sack, off of the couch. We are all better because of this.
