{"id":23179,"date":"2024-02-22T15:44:00","date_gmt":"2024-02-22T19:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=23179"},"modified":"2024-02-22T15:56:24","modified_gmt":"2024-02-22T19:56:24","slug":"nonsense","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2024\/02\/nonsense\/","title":{"rendered":"Nonsense"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Huckleberry made us run backwards up a steep hill at Iron Throne on Monday.\u00a0 It was horrible (can I get an \u201cAmen\u201d?).\u00a0 YHC still has not recovered from that and fell asleep last night in high-tech leg compression sleeves trying to rehab sore legs, which made for a fun conversation when the M came to bed several hours after YHC.\u00a0 Sometime prior to falling asleep, a plan sure to displease several potential attendees, including WIB-irregular Lamb Chop, was solidified.\u00a0 It went like this.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Warmarama:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SSHs, Standing Hammies, Abe Vigodas, Up\/Down Dogs<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>The Thang<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Starting at AARP covered area, perform the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Burpee + Toes to Bar x 5<\/li>\n<li>Shoulder Tap (DC) Plank Jack Merkins x 10<\/li>\n<li>Squats x 20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mosey to Moore Elementary playground:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pullups x 5<\/li>\n<li>Divebombers x 10<\/li>\n<li>Squats x 20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mosey east on Queen, right on Leisure Lane, left on Westfield, left on Magnolia, left on Queen, back to AARP area.\u00a0 Repeato until time.<\/p>\n<p>No time for Mary.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>NMM:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Crash was the first to pull into the parking lot, mumbling something about the only other time being at this location was for a RnG YHC led. Yes, Miller Park is (literally) a stone\u2019s throw from YHC\u2019s house, and the addition of the AARP workout area has made it very useful for the roaming AOs.\u00a0 Crash and Root hung together for most of the morning, a solid duo if there\u2019s ever been one.<\/li>\n<li>Quite a long jaunt (0.7 miles) from Moore around Westfield and Magnolia back to the launch point which minimized the number of rounds we completed to 3 with some pax beginning their fourth round. Lamb Chop early and often interrupted his own jabbering conversation with Cherry Pie to complain about the amount of running.\u00a0 Burns concluded that this morning was enough to classify Lamb Chop as a \u201crunner\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Speaking of Cherry Pie, it was great to see him on consecutive days after an extended absence, particularly since he didn\u2019t seem to know where Miller Park was at COT on Wednesday. He uttered some nonsense about being out of shape, then proceeded to sprint the 0.7 mile loop.<\/li>\n<li>Nonsense was the word of the day: Burns asked where the Q got the idea for the burpee + toes to bar \u201cnonsense\u201d.\u00a0 A quick google revealed that the origin of \u201cnonsense\u201d dates back to circa 1610, meaning, &#8220;that which is lacking in sense, language, or words without meaning or conveying absurd or ridiculous ideas\u201d (etymonline.com).\u00a0 Fair description.<\/li>\n<li>The workout started off with a \u201chigh-end\u201d (Root\u2019s words) crowd amplified by the later pick-6 of Snooki out on a solo run. Ironically, YHC had mentioned to the pax early on that Snooki and Razzie were known to occasionally exercise under the AARP covering.\u00a0 Batting .500 will get you in most halls of fame.<\/li>\n<li>Burns attempted to turn the entire morning into a hot mess by daring Bevo to hurdle the metal traffic barrier at the edge of the parking, something the target would have easily fallen prey to (and completed) six weeks ago.
