It was a cold and wet morning at the Estate at Reynolda Village.\u00a0 YHC was out late for me (7:15-7:30) with Zima for a belated birthday celebration.\u00a0 Waking up early and a little groggy from the night\u2019s festivities I got to the Estate early to see what I could come up with.<\/p>\n

There was the trail with the light poles that runs to campus.<\/p>\n

Field with a very tempting pond to run and jump in.<\/p>\n

There was the running trail that runs to Reynolda House<\/p>\n

There was a parking lot with all the store fronts.<\/p>\n

I chose option 1.\u00a0 Being that we are in the middle of the Merkin Challenge of 2024 I opted to run down and back for all 14 power poles. Doing (2) Burpees at the start and (25) Merkins at each pole.\u00a0 YHC did not account for how much running this was and I was burping up IPA residue the entire time.\u00a0 We ended up getting 10 of the 14 poles before we ran out of time.\u00a0 I suggested we make a brief sprint through the pond below the bridge but was threatened with a Mutiny so I relented.\u00a0 All in all we did 2.5 miles, with 225 Merkins to add to the sheet for the challenge.<\/p>\n
