Sure,\u00a0Stairway To Heaven<\/em> gets all the glory, media attention, “most streamed” list topping, and punchline status. But light a stick of incense and take in the full majesty of Going To California\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0When the Levee Breaks<\/em> and all that glitters is not gold, baby.<\/p>\n

For that matter, a good pair of headphones and\u00a0Whole Lotta Love<\/em>? Life changing.<\/p>\n

For no reason other than Bloodsport got YHC a new Led Zep t-shirt for his birthday, today’s theme was about the 7os biggest, if not best, rock band (YHC can argue for Rush or Thin Lizzy, but no one tell Schutzie).<\/p>\n

While I was too young to see Led Zep live, I do get to live in the era of the internet and can tell you what their setlist<\/a> looked like on this date in 1977. I guess we also get Greta Van Fleet<\/a>. I am<\/em> old enough to have had a copy of\u00a0IV\u00a0<\/em>on cassette, CD, and now streaming. Back in the 90s, you could find classic rock vinyl for cheap; it was in a low ebb on the cultural relevance arc. I had a couple of Zep releases that sold nicely in the big Vinyl Purge of 2017.<\/p>\n

Anyway…<\/p>\n

The playlist was based on that setlist, with the slower, longer songs taken out. I’d hoped to find a 10-minute drum solo to drop in the middle, but we used what Apple Music gave us. The beatdown went like this.<\/p>\n
