The alarm went off. \u00a0YHC hit \u2018snooze\u2019 and heard the \u2018M\u2019 mumble something in her sleep. \u00a0Fearing that is was something like \u201cif that goes off again, I\u2019m going to shove it up your<\/em>\u2026\u201d YHC put on my glasses, turned off the alarm and looked up at the ceiling – getting those few extra minutes of rest before hitting the ground running.<\/p>\n

23 minutes later, YHC woke up again\u2026 glasses on\u2026 face still towards the ceiling\u2026 this time the \u201coh @#?$!\u201d was coming from my own mouth. \u00a0Luckily, still left plenty of time (albeit no time for the typical morning rituals) and was able to get to the AO by 0526. \u00a0So, when I pulled into the lot only to see one car, YHC began to wonder\u2026 did I have the wrong day\u2026 was my clock wrong\u2026 was I dreaming\u2026 if nobody shows up can I stay in my car and take a nap\u2026?<\/p>\n

Then, over the next three minutes\u2026 they came. \u00a0Some by car. \u00a0Some by foot. \u00a08 others, plus YHC. \u00a0The usual suspects. \u00a0No nap. \u00a0And now YHC had to come up with a workout.<\/p>\n

So, here\u2019s what we did\u2026<\/p>\n

  • Obligatory (~1 mile) lap around the park (just enough time to come up with workout plan – though @Mongoose set a brisk warmup pace)<\/em><\/li>\n
  • Zuck warmup half-lap\u2026 high-knees, butt-kickers, Apollo Creeds (L&R), Zucky power skips<\/li>\n
  • 200m hard (200m recovery)<\/li>\n
  • 400m hard (200m recovery)<\/li>\n
  • 800m hard (~200m recovery to Intimidator)<\/li>\n
  • Sprint up Intimidator to Carolina (recovery down)<\/li>\n
  • Quadraphelia up Intimidator to Carolina (recovery down)<\/li>\n
  • 400m hard (200m recovery)<\/li>\n
  • 200m hard (200m recovery)<\/li>\n
  • 400m hard (mosey recovery back to launch)<\/li>\n
  • Fin! Done!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Total miles varied for the pax but the max was somewhere close to 4.5mi (not counting RIRO miles)<\/p>\n

    • Prayers for F3 brothers and families dealing with physical ailments, sickness, recovery\u2026 prayers for those who\u2019ve lost loved ones\u2026 prayers for those struggling with mental health issues\u2026 prayers for students and teachers winding down their school year\u2026 prayers for guidance\/protection\/safety for our families\u2026 prayers that we be the men HE wants us to be.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Thankful that @Chomper let me get a \u2018redo\u2019 after needing a last minute substiQ a few weeks ago.<\/li>\n
      • Temps were cool, but ideal once we got rolling. \u00a0They pax were getting after it!<\/li>\n
      • @TheVig, @Mongoose, and @BALCO got in some EC and RIRO\u2019d – from somewhere.<\/li>\n
      • @Suede showed up, out of the shadows, on the warmup lap. Man of mystery.<\/li>\n
      • @Mongoose and @Chomper were flying this morning.<\/li>\n
      • Not a ton of mumblechatter (or that YHC could hear), though did catch @Winklevoss and @BALCO having conversations about their high-schooler 2.0s\u2026 both having some success with track. \u00a0(They get it from their moms)<\/li>\n
      • @Hitman was moving! Said his hammies may have something to say about it tomorrow.<\/li>\n
      • @Manscape continues to be amazing.<\/li>\n
      • I think the pax enjoyed the Quadraphelia up the Intimidator.<\/li>\n
      • @Mongoose thinks YHC has been 43 for longer than a year. \u00a0Little does he know I\u2019m trying something out to see if I don\u2019t change ages until every 16 months instead of 12, if that will slow down the aging process. \u00a0So far, it\u2019s not working.<\/li>\n
      • Grateful for the opportunity to lead. \u00a0Thanks for the keys, @Chomp!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
