Going into the morning the Q had admittedly been absent from the pax for the better part of 4-5 weeks.\u00a0 Too many airplanes, late arrivals and a lingering jet-lag hangover.\u00a0 That said, CP was thankful to have long before committed to Q this morning\u2019s Iron Throne, and the honor thereof.<\/p>\n
The Q arrived early and drove around the back of the AO to strategically place the morning\u2019s instruction manual (aka: cardboard tri-fold).\u00a0 There on the drive in, the headlights cut through the pitch and caught the back end of a runner up in the distance\u2026this familiar, yet unidentified figure was clearly running with intention and a direction in mind.\u00a0 In a few more feet and not a break in his stride, it became clear this mystery man was none other than Green Acres\u2026who, with little more than a glance in the Q\u2019s direction, disappeared into the dark recesses of the nearby Port-a-Jon.<\/p>\n
Back at AO-central, figures began to appear, most greeting the other pax upon breaking into the faint light of the perimeter.\u00a0 However, one such character walked towards the meeting spot with stealth and relative silence\u2026like a cat stalking prey\u2026Palin, in his dark Spartan-conqueror t-shirt and with a look of suspicious inspection, approached the gathering\u2026and yet, not a word.\u00a0 \u201cOh, high Palin!\u201d\u00a0 Only then did he speak, and with inquiry in his voice, \u201cAre you the Q?\u201d \u00a0\u201cWhy yes!\u201d yhc responded.\u00a0 Revealing that this was no new revelation, Palin spoke on\u2026 \u201cYou know, I decided I was going to be nice to you today CP.\u201d<\/p>\n
There it was, the bold statement of the morning.\u00a0 \u201cMr. Nice Guy\u201d had arrived\u2026his intentions clear.\u00a0 A few of the other pax made note of this bold promise, without directly challenging the underlying intent.\u00a0 Time would tell.<\/p>\n
The Q welcomed the pax just as Green Acres emerged from the darkness once again, inquiring further as to whether the pax had any strong cleaning agents on hand.\u00a0 However, by now the minute-hand struck 30 and it was showtime.\u00a0 After a \u201cMonday Morning Version\u201d of the core principles and guiding mission the workout began\u2026our more talkative friend already lobbying for optional Thistle-Counting as appropriate.<\/p>\n
