This morning I woke to attend Supermax
\nUnable to ready in time to join the Pax
\nI drove in silently and began to get running
\nPut in a slow mile my pace really is stunning<\/p>\n
Little do they know I spent last week in LA
\nTrying to succeed with a lot of piper to pay
\nThe week was partly from hell with errors easy to spot
\nFailure: another way to say we learned a lot<\/p>\n
Around 6:45 I felt things were looking up
\nA few PAX had gathered to set up shop
\nFor the 7 am for which I was the Q
\nI should say YHC but we say it how we do<\/p>\n
A couple PAX asked where I was (not to throw shade)
\nI could only explain that I was delayed
\nWe stood in a circle, maybe some silently prayed
\nThen we said see you later to the PAX that was Suede<\/p>\n
Sleeplessness catches up and I\u2019d retired at 8
\nSleep is funny, it\u2019s something you can\u2019t possibly backdate
\nThe PAX rolled in picking up closer to seven
\nBefore long 15 assembled like manna from heaven<\/p>\n
I tried to hide to my total surprise
\nThe largest group I\u2019d ever led left me mentally immobilized
\nAnxiety is real don\u2019t let them tell you it isn\u2019t
\nEspecially for a PAX that has recently arisen<\/p>\n
Only one mistake on the mission and I think I got through the core
\nI believe I at least succeeded in not being a bore
\nThere was music on tap all the hits from 88
\nI was 13 then much closer to the welter of weight<\/p>\n
We did side straddles twenty, and imperial storm troopers
\nAbe Vigodas, Hillbillies, Arm Swirlies Cherry Pie thinks are super
\nForward Arm Swirlies are clockwise looking left, and counter to the right
\nJust do them with good form and excessive delight<\/p>\n
We finished warmup with stretches and Merkins for Drip
\nMerkins bookending the stretches, then we abandoned ship
\nMoseyed to the blocks and circled prematurely
\nTook advantage of the time to explain insecurely<\/p>\n
Blockchain technology is the first order of the day
\nWe line up and walk and each pax calls his own way
\nFrom the back rear pax mall walks peloton style
\nIn the front the pax stops and calls to the rank and file<\/p>\n
His chosen exercise using a block or without
\nHe should do his best to avoid uncertainty or doubt
\nThe pax called curls, overhead presses, and blockees
\nYou might think some were getting a little bit cocky<\/p>\n
There were merkins and lunge walks and pounders of pickles
\nHappy to say nothing that wasn\u2019t worth a plugged nickel
\nMusic failure occurred and we had to alternate
\nTo a backup speaker with better sound and more weight<\/p>\n
The pax moving along like Dasher to Blixen amassed
\nRudolph carried the speaker and a block no one even had to ask
\nThere was some strutting with blocks I\u2019ll admit
\nPax responsible may wish it beyond their remit<\/p>\n
The near to last exercise Van Gogh stepped to the fore
\nAnd to no one’s surprise said \u2018blocks down, hit the floor\u2019
\nThe PAX reluctantly block pushed across the lot and back
\nYours truly YHC bringing up the back of the pack<\/p>\n
The second half was three man grinders you\u2019ll see
\nNo one understood what they were doing, though til 7:43
\nBecause YHC gave possibly the worst explanation ever
\nOf an exercise that should be a simple endeavor<\/p>\n
After 5 minutes confusion and help from more senior PAX
\nThe groups were off and doing their thing from the front to the back
\nOn one side were five exercises arrayed
\nOn the other another five presented for the dismayed<\/p>\n
There were hammers American not from Mr. Thor
\nPlank Jacks, LBCs, Mountain Climbers galore
\nFreddie Mercs finished out exercises on the first side
\nTo the other end of the parking lot the PAX were told to stride<\/p>\n
There were merkins, which some know as push ups I\u2019ve heard
\nHeels to heaven, squats, and some thought burpees absurd
\nFinishing out with shoulder taps was the plan
\nPax finished close together, Adobe and I the anchor man<\/p>\n
We carried our blocks back to the original spot
\nWhere they originally resided, from whence they were brought
\nWe stood in a circle and then without counting the reps
\nDid the following block things many involving biceps<\/p>\n
Curls, skull crushers, and overhead presses
\nUpright rows until the natives got a little bit restless
\nThen perhaps jokingly Rudolph perhaps somewhat daringly
\n\u2018You won\u2019t call blockees I\u2019ll bet\u2019 and even if so then sparingly<\/p>\n
YHC obliged of course and indeed
\nI\u2019m always happy to deliver in the PAX time of need
\nWe did blockees until grunting was deemed particularly sufficient
\nThen one last and then held blocks overhead til beneficient<\/p>\n
Returning the blocks we headed back to the start
\nThought Mary easy and boring then had a change of heart
\nDid a break from my 1983 playlist flashback
\nCued up ring of fire from the man in the black<\/p>\n
Round the circle just a few minutes left we started with three
\nMerkins abounding from the third to first degree
\nThere were PAX doing single clap merkins every time
\nOne handed merkins by several of the PAX quite sublime<\/p>\n
We finished with a flourish on time and upright
\nGlad to finish a bit looser after starting uptight
\nCounting off and naming fistbumps all around
\nAccolades and encouragement abound<\/p>\n
Of all of the F’s of F3 I suppose if they were initially ordered
\nWe attend for the first, then most appreciate the second which is bordered
\nBy the third most important though a bit more inside
\nJoins the second and the first so they are all amplified<\/p>\n
