{"id":21238,"date":"2023-02-04T15:07:16","date_gmt":"2023-02-04T19:07:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=21238"},"modified":"2023-02-04T15:07:16","modified_gmt":"2023-02-04T19:07:16","slug":"an-explosive-day-at-purgatory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2023\/02\/an-explosive-day-at-purgatory\/","title":{"rendered":"An explosive day at Purgatory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Always a pleasure to lead at Purgatory, and want to make sure the esteemed pax that assemble their $$&#8217;s worth.\u00a0 Also, IS crew was invited and even some WeFoCo #HIM who were in town to help GreeNest posted.\u00a0 AND we had surprise visit by 2 pax who are learning what the lack of sleep feels like, what meconium is, and how many times a day a baby should poop.<\/p>\n<p>Since it was scheduled to be kinda chilly, YHC dusted off a playlist from a while back that would keep pax warm, in spirit.<\/p>\n<p>For the beatdown, as we all know, YHC likes sets of exercises with fun names, so several were combined to avoid a repeat of Bluto&#8217;s fun from last Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warmorama<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the usual stuff<\/li>\n<li>YHC got slightly distracted, #squirrel, when it sounded like opening song of the playlist was on repeat<\/li>\n<li>Song wasn&#8217;t on repeat, the Q rallied and found some more exercises to warm pax up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Thang<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>run to far end of adjacent parking lot for<\/li>\n<li>BOMBS!\n<ul>\n<li>Partner up, P1 runs to island and back, then flapjacks with P2<\/li>\n<li>Burpees x 50<\/li>\n<li>Overhead Claps x 100<\/li>\n<li>Merkins x 150<\/li>\n<li>Big Boy Situps x 200<\/li>\n<li>Squats x 250<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mosey to field for<\/li>\n<li>Col Trautmans! (Rambo reference)\n<ul>\n<li>New partner up! P1 runs to p\/u bar, 3 p\/u and run back, P2 does 10 merkins and planks until partner returns<\/li>\n<li>repeato until song ends (Heat Wave by Linda Ronstadt for those keeping score)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Stay right there for<\/li>\n<li>Lt. Dan Taylors (Forest Gump fame)\n<ul>\n<li>1 squat, 4 lunges<\/li>\n<li>keep 1:4 ratio and increase until you get to 10 squats and 40 lunges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mosey across the field to Las Vegas for<\/li>\n<li>Blackjack!\n<ul>\n<li>1 Merkin, run, 20 LBC&#8217;s run back<\/li>\n<li>2\/19, etc until 20 merkins\/1 LBC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mosey back to parking lot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NMM<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Late arriving crowd, good to keep warmorama going<\/li>\n<li>BooBoo seemed to have some difficulty running in a straight line during BOMBS<\/li>\n<li>Pax picked up theme of songs pretty quickly, they are smart<\/li>\n<li>Boomerang needs more beauty sleep than Starfish, but pulled a quality #fartsnack<\/li>\n<li>When Green Acres gets bored, he just goes and does more pull ups<\/li>\n<li>Bluto was hoping for the classic &#8220;The Roof is on Fire&#8221; on the playlist, but was disappointed<\/li>\n<li>Most pax got tired of counting during Lt.
