I tried to use the \u201ctranscript\u201d feature on my phone once I recorded the Name o Rama to help with the backblast, but as you can see, it wasn\u2019t super helpful:<\/span><\/p>\n

Without further ado, let\u2019s go for some secrets.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing like hot, wet, and moist to get you going in the morning. We met at Speas and ran the \u201cLollipop Route\u201d (stole that term from Juicebox) down Polo and around Peavehaven\/Robinhood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mutton and Burlap left before the rest of us because they think they run \u201cslower\u201d than some other PAX, but our group stayed the same distance back from them the entire route and couldn\u2019t gain an inch, so that seems like a misguided thought on their part. We saw Balco and Mongoose (or \u201chumongous\u201d, as my phone now knows him) at the beginning but not again until the end when they circled back for us. They were really feeling it (but that\u2019s nothing new for those guys). I had the pleasure of running with Juicebox, HOG, and Bernie. Bernie and I (along with his girlfriend and my wife) cooked hibachi last night, so it was a slight miracle that it didn\u2019t come out either end. I got to hear about HOG\u2019s wild week of serving the youth and the community of Yadkin County. I want to be like him when I grow up. Solid running all the way around, gentlemen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fortunately for my self-esteem, no one made fun of my \u201cspeaker\u201d (aka my phone in a red solo cup) and we made it through the tabata unscathed. Big thanks for helping design the tabata goes to Bernie\u2019s girlfriend and my wife (though she made fun of me when I protested her burpee request), and ZERO thanks to Bernie, who (like me), couldn’t remember what any of the exercises are called except Merkins (thank you to Beverly for helping me with that and making it sound like I knew what I was saying). There was not a dry spot on Burlap by the end of the workout, which I started to pride myself on designing a tough workout, but then realized it\u2019s more likely because this morning felt like we were running inside someone\u2019s mouth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Praise that Juicebox\u2019s mother is out of the hospital and prayers for HOG\u2019s mom, as she starts radiation today. No other announcements.<\/span><\/p>\n
