Apologies for my tardiness.\u00a0 Technical difficulties with the recording device and and a dead PC are to blame.\u00a0 That said, Saturday morning was a glorious day for 22 Pax who made it out for fast paced beatdown.\u00a0 Drip, the former cite Q and YHC were inspired by having our friends from Purgatory join us at the mothership.<\/p>\n
It went something like this:<\/p>\n
Warm-a-Rama:<\/p>\n
This element of the workout was held around the shovel flag on the field just inside the track.\u00a0 After Drip remined us of the 5 core principals, we launched into the unofficial 6th principal – starting with the Side Straddle Hop.\u00a0 After 25 of those we proceeded with Abe Vigodas, Imperial Walkers, Whirlies, Hillbillies and Squats.<\/p>\n
Drip and YHC wanted to make sure that those who choose Purgatory on Saturdays could get a good taste of the Intimidator.\u00a0 Upon it’s mention, groans could be heard.\u00a0 Nevertheless, the Pax made the quick trip to its base for instructions.<\/p>\n
The Pax was instructed to pair up in 3’s for an extended 3 man grinder.<\/p>\n
The grinder was broken into 3 pieces.<\/p>\n
1st Piece:\u00a0 Partner 1 stays at the bottom for Merkins, Partner 2 and 3 run to the first stop sign, 2nd partner stays for Squats and the 3rd runs back to reliever the first.\u00a0 Each Pax was instructed to perform each exercise 3 times.<\/p>\n
2nd Piece: LBC at the bottom and Plank Jacks up top<\/p>\n
3rd piece:\u00a0 Low Flutter on the bottom and Lunges up top<\/p>\n
For those counting at home, that is 9 trips up and down the first\u00a0 1\/3rd of the Intimidator.\u00a0 Welcome to Hell!<\/p>\n
The Pax gladly left this element of the workout for a more flat and friendly finish on the track.\u00a0 On the first turn, we started with 10 burpees.\u00a0 Turn 2, 10 burpees and 20 Jump Squats.\u00a0 3rd curve, 10, 20 and 30 Alabama Prom Dates.<\/p>\n
Last corner, 10, 20, 30 and 40 Mutton Crunches (20 each side)<\/p>\n
