{"id":16951,"date":"2021-08-24T08:42:48","date_gmt":"2021-08-24T12:42:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=16951"},"modified":"2021-08-24T08:48:31","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T12:48:31","slug":"total-request-live-at-parliament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2021\/08\/total-request-live-at-parliament\/","title":{"rendered":"Total Request Live at Parliament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">16 pax chose WeFoCo today.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>5 pax went for a run. 11 Pax stuck around for some #TotalRequestLive at Parliament. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Warm-o-Rama &#8211; the usual fare for @Goofy<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Thang<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Grab a block and circle up. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">The idea was to repeat three different exercises for a set amount of reps each, repeating this pattern during the length of a song.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For example, do curls, LBC\u2019s and mountain climbers 25 each and repeat until song is over. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">In keeping with request theme, pax chose the exercises from various categories:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Chest, Tricep, Bicep, Abs, Cardio, etc.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Q chose the number of reps<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">The final round was deconstructed burpees (merkins, cobra humpers, jump squats), and burpees. We did 5 each. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Mary &#8211; called round robin<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">BOM:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>YHC took us out lifting prayer concerns below and asking Him to make us the men he wants us to be.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Announcements\/Prayer Concerns<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Shmedfest &#8211; this weekend!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 There are commitments of\u00a0<\/span>$30\/pax for each Pax showing up to the 2am workout.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Great time, great <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Double dip opportunity for Goofy Q this week as YHC also has the reins at TRQ <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Prayers for @Boomerang and family who has lost his sister<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Prayers for @Starfish\u2019s mom who has entered memory care at Arbor Acres. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">NMM<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">YHC put a call out yesterday for pax to request songs. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Tclaps to @DQ who was the first in and suggested John Prine &#8211; excellent choice.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>@Starfish chose a YHC fav, Bruce Springsteen<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">YHC did not listen to Prine until after he passed last year, and his music became a slight obsession during the year.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>If you don\u2019t know his music, I highly recommend. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">This choice inspired me to choose other song writers I have enjoyed over the years &#8211; (play list below)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>It was pointed out by @Starfish beat down was more \u201cTotalSuggestionLive\u201d as YHC sought control it anyway!<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Great turnout and good enthusiasm this AM &#8211; we all knew which songs that DQ liked as he would announce his approval.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>@Starfish even sang along to a few!<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Awesome to see @Frostbite &#8211; been too long and great to be with you! \u00a0Thanks for driving in from downtown!<\/li>\n<li>There was some surprise that Eminem made the list &#8211; (yes I went through this short, weird and angry period that I listened to some rap)<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Thanks to @Ziggy for the keys.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I left them in the lunchroom<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Playlist<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Welcome to the Working Week &#8211; Elvis Costello<\/li>\n<li>You May Be Right &#8211; Billy Joel<\/li>\n<li>Please Don\u2019t Bury Me &#8211; John Prine<\/li>\n<li>Domino &#8211; Van Morrison<\/li>\n<li>Running on Empty &#8211; Jackson Browne<\/li>\n<li>Life in the Fast Lane &#8211; Eagles (Don Henley)<\/li>\n<li>All Along the Watchtower &#8211; Bob Dylan wrote it, covered by many others<\/li>\n<li>Revolution &#8211; The Beatles (McCartney and Lennon)<\/li>\n<li>Thunder Road &#8211; Bruce Springsteen<\/li>\n<li>Pinball Wizard &#8211; The Who (Pete Townsend)<\/li>\n<li>Lose Yourself &#8211; Eminem<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>16 pax chose WeFoCo today.\u00a0 5 pax went for a run. 11 Pax stuck around for some #TotalRequestLive at Parliament.
