Math and Meteors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On this muggy morning in the gloom a handful of studly PAX joined YHC for a little research under a beautiful meteor shower filled sky.\u00a0 YHC was curious about the upcoming 5,000 rep challenge and wanted to get an image of time necessary for its completion.\u00a0 The guinea pigs,&#8230;\u00a0 \u00a0uh&#8230;.\u00a0 \u00a0I mean&#8230;\u00a0 \u00a0PAX were able to accomplish the following in the 45 minute allotted time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warm-o-rama<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20 SSH<\/li>\n<li>20 WWII<\/li>\n<li>20 Merkins<\/li>\n<li>20 Squats<\/li>\n<li>20 Burpees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Workout<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We did 8 rounds of the following<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20 SSH<\/li>\n<li>20 WWII<\/li>\n<li>20 Merkins<\/li>\n<li>20 Squats<\/li>\n<li>20 Burpees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20 SSH<\/li>\n<li>20 WWII<\/li>\n<li>20 Merkins<\/li>\n<li>20 Squats<\/li>\n<li>20 Burpees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Announcements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Schmed<\/li>\n<li>Sign up for Iron Pax<\/li>\n<li>Prayers for my colleague&#8217;s wife&#8217;s final days with her cancer battle and my wife&#8217;s family as they morn the loss of her grandparents<\/li>\n<li>YHC took us out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NMM<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PAX wanted to warm up, so we started each round with SSH instead of my intended burpee start.\u00a0 Gotta keep the crowd positive.<\/li>\n<li>MC was going strong for the first couple of rounds.\u00a0 After that all one could hear was gasping for air.<\/li>\n<li>Everyone was noticing the Persied Meteor shower.\u00a0 YHC spotted two bright fire balls flying across the sky.\u00a0 Others saw many more.<\/li>\n<li>Schneider noted he has a unique counting strategy specifically formulated for a Fender workout.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not smart enough to describe it though.\u00a0 Something to do with quantum physics I think.<\/li>\n<li>Nice to meet Hooker.\u00a0 He said he did some burpees.\u00a0 His name made me want to go fishing.\u00a0 Unfortunately my arms are too week to cast the line right now for some reason.<\/li>\n<li>Drip was a beast behind a beaming smile this morning!\u00a0 Strong work and a good push for YHC after too many cookies!<\/li>\n<li>Crash discovered that some exercises get double reps when done in cadence.\u00a0 I think I actually saw a light bulb go off over his head at that moment, but it might have just been one of those meteors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Great job by all PAX.\u00a0 If you do the math, collectively we hit the 5,000 rep mark!\u00a0 Honored to lead this fine group of HIM&#8217;s this morning.\u00a0 Had to break in this morning because the site Q wasn&#8217;t present with the
