{"id":16812,"date":"2021-08-03T10:24:34","date_gmt":"2021-08-03T14:24:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=16812"},"modified":"2021-08-03T10:24:34","modified_gmt":"2021-08-03T14:24:34","slug":"olympic-dreams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2021\/08\/olympic-dreams\/","title":{"rendered":"Olympic Dreams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Olympic fever has swept through the tiny breakaway nation of the Republic of F3.\u00a0 The 9 PAX who posted this morning were vying to qualify for the next Olympiad in the track events.\u00a0 Unfortunately due to scheduling and track time, the events were all stacked on top of each other.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>WARM-O-RAMA.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1600 meters on the track.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>BEATDOWN.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Run 50 meters.\u00a0 Recover 50 meters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Run 100 meters.\u00a0 Let lactic acid build up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Run 200 meters.\u00a0 Recover 200 meters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Run 400 meters.\u00a0 Pile on that lactic acid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Run 800 meters.\u00a0 Recover 400 meters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Goal:<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> repeat 5 times<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reality:<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> repeat 2 times (major Q misjudgement)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>DONE.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>ANNOUNCEMENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shmedfest: August 27-28.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>NAKED MAN MOLESKIN:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All of the F3 athletes qualified at the Olympic time trials (round 1).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Everyone ran hard in the preliminaries (round 2), but were sadly defeated before advancing (read: ran out of time for subsequent rounds) by a suspect group of runners from the ROC.\u00a0 Allegations of blood doping were rampant.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Q planned the morning extremely poorly as the group was not able to reach the quarters, semis, or finals of any event.\u00a0 I WAY underestimated the time it would take to run each heat.\u00a0 #TooMuchRest?
