Out of the night that covers me,<\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Black as the pit from pole to pole,<\/strong><\/em>
\nI thank whatever gods may be<\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 For my unconquerable soul.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

In the fell clutch of circumstance<\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I have not winced nor cried aloud.<\/strong><\/em>
\nUnder the bludgeonings of chance<\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 My head is bloody, but unbowed.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Beyond this place of wrath and tears<\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Looms but the Horror of the shade,<\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd yet the menace of the years<\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Finds and shall find me unafraid.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It matters not how strait the gate,<\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 How charged with punishments the scroll,<\/strong><\/em>
\nI am the master of my fate,<\/strong><\/em>

The Q was YHC this day<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Core principles, Mission statement,<\/div>\n
After my failed attempt to say<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Warm-o-rama on hard pavement.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Fifty side straddle hops we did<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 In cadence with calves wearing thin.<\/div>\n
One PAX said,” What’s wrong with this kid?”<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Complaints already rolling in.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Little they knew the things to come<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Were going to be less pleasant<\/div>\n
More painful, soul crushing, and glum<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The gift to be for those\u00a0 present<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
From the block pile coupons in hand<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A mosey to the parking lot.<\/div>\n
The dread ahead from where we stand<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Bears burpee records to be bought.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
A poetic recitation<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Of Invictus broken apart.<\/div>\n
To be learned upon completion<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The real fun begins – now we\u00a0start!<\/div>\n

Simple, NOT easy, were the rules<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 For this, the PAX I’m sure attest<\/div>\n
In their wake of sweat filled pools<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 They all stepped up and gave their best.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Or should I say they crawled like bears<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 While pushing square stones of concrete<\/div>\n
Two parking spaces were their shares<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A break before each burpee beat<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ten spaces the length in total<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A share of burpees at each pause<\/div>\n
Round one, Fifty burpees, That’s ALL?<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Much more needed to fill the cause.<\/div>\n

Then twice the number round two begged<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 With bonus burpees in between.<\/div>\n
Two hundred burpees now were pegged<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Time enough for more to be seen.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The journey’s last leg brought some more<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 One hundred to round things about.<\/div>\n
Three hundred total we each bore<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Return the stones, bodies give out.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Some were religious about form.<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Some modified as the need be.<\/div>\n
All PAX shared their feelings so warm,<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 About this Q’s insanity.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Boomarang said his memory crashed.<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Crash mastered all but\u00a0goofed at one.<\/div>\n
Goofy’s three ten of something smashed<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 While SubFloor improvised his own.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Van Gogh blazed a trail to admire.<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Muggsy survived\u00a0his second post.<\/div>\n
Sea Man, Sixty Minutes, Schneider<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Ran away to avoid the roast.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
YHC aimed at three hundred<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 He came up sharp,\u00a0ten more burpees.<\/div>\n
Circled in trust a prayer he said<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Muggsy’s kid, Safe Spartan journeys<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Grateful for the records we set<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 But more for what it means to serve<\/div>\n
and run with HIMs I am beset<\/div>\n
