{"id":16624,"date":"2021-07-14T13:27:21","date_gmt":"2021-07-14T17:27:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=16624"},"modified":"2021-07-14T13:27:21","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T17:27:21","slug":"call-it-a-conspiracy-or-mutton-falls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2021\/07\/call-it-a-conspiracy-or-mutton-falls\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Call it a Conspiracy&#8221;, or &#8220;Mutton Falls&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Seven hardy men joined YHC at Hanes Park for this week&#8217;s Conspiracy.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what went down.<\/p>\n<p>Warmarama<\/p>\n<p>SSHs, down\/up dog combo, calf &amp; quad stretches, Whirlies<\/p>\n<p>The Thang:<\/p>\n<p>Mosey to Pilot View (lots of mumble chatter).\u00a0 Mosey up to Jersey.\u00a0 Pax were instructed to partner up for a grinder.\u00a0 Partner A runs down to Carolina and back up; partner B knocks out reps.\u00a0 You vs. you.\u00a0 Each partner was required to complete 70 reps of each exercise.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Exercises were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jump Squats<\/li>\n<li>Hand-release Merkins<\/li>\n<li>American Hammers (double-count)<\/li>\n<li>Imperial Storm Squats<\/li>\n<li>Diamond Merkins<\/li>\n<li>Heels to Heaven<\/li>\n<li>Monkey Humpers<\/li>\n<li>Merkins<\/li>\n<li>Crunchy Frogs<\/li>\n<li>Burpees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mosey home.\u00a0 Burpees until time.<\/p>\n<p>Time.<\/p>\n<p>Announcements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Shmed is the last weekend of August, 8\/27 &amp; 8\/28. Following the completion of The Shmed, Shmedfest returns!\u00a0 The third workout (7:30 am on the 28<sup>th<\/sup>) will be a fun run &amp; 5K officiated by Twin City Track Club.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>COT:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keith Vest, Boo Boo\u2019s brother-in-law, is having scans today. Keith had life-saving therapy for metastatic cancer a couple of years ago.\u00a0 Today is also Keith\u2019s birthday.<\/li>\n<li>YHC took us out praying for Keith and giving thanks for the ability to exercise together.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NMM:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cI\u2019ve got a bad feeling about this.\u201d So said Red Baron as we moseyed out of the launch and headed down West End.\u00a0 YHC had a bad feeling about it too that was realized.\u00a0 Each man rose to the occasion and crushed this workout and are better for it.<\/li>\n<li>Burns had Qed this workout back in the winter at Mayhem and intimated that he intended to run it back today. YHC shamelessly poached it; call it a conspiracy.\u00a0 Changes included substituting monkey humpers for double-count lunges (jeez!) and Pilot View for the Hill to Nowhere(!).<\/li>\n<li>Lamb Chop was given the choice between running Pilot View from Carolina to Jersey or Jersey to Summit. He chose Carolina to Jersey. \u00a0Each pax got in ~15 runs, which equates to about 6,000 feet of elevation gain.<\/li>\n<li>YHC Omahaed diamond merkins and hand-release merkins to 50 reps. Razzie chimed in with, \u201cThat\u2019s the first good thing you\u2019ve said this workout.\u201d\u00a0 All pax but Red Baron were thankful as he had already completed his 70 of each when notified of the changes.\u00a0 Red Baron came closest to completing all exercises.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWho made you mad?\u201d, Cherry Pie asked. No one; just didn\u2019t want him to feel like he wasted his time and should have stayed home doing arm swirly thingys.<\/li>\n<li>Boo Boo was YHC\u2019s partner. He did a great job pounding out the reps.\u00a0 He was so focused on getting back to the exercises, however, that he neglected to notify YHC that he had finished his run.<\/li>\n<li>Post Hole was incredulous at seeing the weinke but looked exceptionally strong this morning, cruising up Pilot View each time it was his turn to run.<\/li>\n<li>On YHC\u2019s audio recording of the COT, Mutton could be heard ringing out his shirt.
