{"id":15857,"date":"2021-05-09T21:28:01","date_gmt":"2021-05-10T01:28:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=15857"},"modified":"2021-05-09T21:28:01","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T01:28:01","slug":"village-idiocy-that-was-all-beers-and-sunshine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2021\/05\/village-idiocy-that-was-all-beers-and-sunshine\/","title":{"rendered":"Village Idiocy that was all Beers and Sunshine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This was YHC&#8217;s first visit to the original Monday morning workout in the Dash in a couple of years.\u00a0 This remains a great AO full of gritty, seasoned veterans.\u00a0 You know, old people.\u00a0 Oh, plus the young site Q.\u00a0 It went like this on a beautiful spring morning:<\/p>\n<p>Warmorama<\/p>\n<p>SSHs, ISTs, Mountain Climbers, Copperhead Squats, Peter Parkers, Jack Reachers, Running with Scissors<\/p>\n<p>The Multiplier &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Mosey to shelter in front for 10 dips, 10 Russian Twists, 10 squats, and 10 derkins.\u00a0 Mosey to shelter near field for 20 of each these.\u00a0 Back to first shelter for 30 each.\u00a0 Then back to shelter by field for 40 of each.<\/p>\n<p>Mosey to the field for Beers and Sunshine, inspired by Darius Rucker song that includes:<\/p>\n<p>Beers and Sunshine<\/p>\n<p>Bonfires and Summertime<\/p>\n<p>Barefoot nights in South Carolina<\/p>\n<p>So we did:<\/p>\n<p>10 Bobby Hurleys<\/p>\n<p>20 Smurfjacks<\/p>\n<p>30 Boxcutters<\/p>\n<p>40 Squats<\/p>\n<p>50 (steps of) Bear Crawl<\/p>\n<p>60 SSHs<\/p>\n<p>Next a re-hash of an early pandemic WIB in which we got back to NORMAL with:<\/p>\n<p>10 Nolan Ryans each side<\/p>\n<p>20 Overhead Claps<\/p>\n<p>Run about 75 meters out, then back<\/p>\n<p>20 Merkins<\/p>\n<p>20 American hammers<\/p>\n<p>10 Lunges each side.<\/p>\n<p>Mosey toward back wall for a game of HOCKEY<\/p>\n<p>H &#8212; 10 hand release merkins<\/p>\n<p>O &#8212; 15 OH claps<\/p>\n<p>C &#8212; 20 Carolina Dry Docks<\/p>\n<p>K &#8212; 25 Kicks of the Donkey<\/p>\n<p>E &#8212; 30 Elves on a Shelf<\/p>\n<p>Y &#8212; spell YOUR F3 name with straight legs, feet together, in all Caps<\/p>\n<p>Back to parking lot where each pax led one Mary exercise.<\/p>\n<p>FIN<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>NMM<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It had been so long since YHC had been to VI that I had to call someone the weekend before and make sure I knew where we could wander on the AO.<\/li>\n<li>I also had to ask Starfish where to park &#8212; he was the only one to park in the old, traditional spots.<\/li>\n<li>YHC was aware that Spicoli could show up at 0540 or so, so the start of the workout was near the parking lot.<\/li>\n<li>At 0529 YHC inquired whether the Site Q ever came to VI.\u00a0 He showed up at that moment.\u00a0 Solid.<\/li>\n<li>When YHC began explaining the Beers and Sunshine portion, Starfish repeatedly called BS &#8212;
