Did not think so."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sultana\" width=\"1170\" height=\"878\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ASJeIdPo6nU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Apologies for the incredible tardiness of this backblast.\u00a0 The final push to actually write it came from Van Gogh.\u00a0 Guilt is a powerful weapon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>April 27 marked the 156 years since the greatest maritime disaster in American history occurred.\u00a0 While the actual number of lives lost is not know, estimates have the number slightly over 1,600, which would be greater than the death toll from the sinking of the Titanic.<\/p>\n<p>I am, or course, talking about the sinking of The Sultana in the early morning hours of April 27, 1865.\u00a0 Never hear of it?<\/p>\n<p>Not surprised.\u00a0 It is essentially a lost event of history.\u00a0 To put it into context, think of the other events that happened in April of 1865.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>April 12 &#8211; Robert E.
