At 5:29 people were already assuming the circle we usually do our Warm A Rama in, and I found out we had a FNG with no gloves.\u00a0 So I ran to the car and grabbed some because I knew what we were doing that day and no one should grab nearly frozen rocks with there bare hands.\u00a0 By the time I got back, it must have just turned 5:30 and at the stroke of the second hand to officially mark that time…both Mongoose and Zima started their clocks.\u00a0 Not a second went by when the Q was not aware of the time and the fact that we had not started.\u00a0 We had two arrivals mosey up at 5:31 so the Q was trying to be patient and not lead the mosey to the rock pile, so we did SSHs.\u00a0 Amidst trying to get the blood flowing and make sure the newly arriving PAX had time to get situated, someone (to remain nameless) yelled time waster…IN THE FIRST 2 MINUTES!\u00a0 Also during this barrage, Spam and $5 Footlong point out that the FNG has not been alerted as to why we have gathered and what our mission statement is.\u00a0 As Zima pointed out, I was rattled for 20 seconds, and then spat out the Mission Statement, then delegated the 5 Core Principals (to the Site Q) and the disclaimer (to the Nantan).<\/p>\n

After 35 SSHs\u00a0 and some Michael Phelps in cadence, we moseyed to the rock pile in the back of the school.\u00a0 Along the way, we stopped to do 10 Merkins and 10 Copper Head Squats to complete the warmup.<\/p>\n

We approached the rock pile and everyone was instructed to pick out a “challenging” rock that is above medium size.\u00a0 I also threw out that we would not be doing anything with one arm.\u00a0 There apparently were other questions, but I apparently blocked those voices out.\u00a0 Once everyone sufficiently grabbed a rock, we walked with them over head to the field inside the dirt track.\u00a0 All the PAX were instructed to line up along the inside of the track and face the open field with at least 6-8 feet between you and the person to either side of you. (this rule was lost pretty early on)\u00a0 The only other rule was try not to get to far ahead of the person to either side of you.<\/p>\n

The Thang:<\/p>\n

Take your rock and hold it in goblet position and perform a thruster (squat and push weight overhead) and at the top let go of your rock to throw it.\u00a0 AKA, perform a rock toss!\u00a0 The goal was to thruster your rock across the entire field, which was probably over 100 yards.\u00a0 Along the way, we all realized that we were pretty much vandalizing the field with all the divots we put in the ground from our rocks.\u00a0 I felt like we should have treated it like a Polo Field and stomped out the divots as we came back.\u00a0 Which leads me to the Omaha.\u00a0 Once we got across the field, we needed to get our rocks back…so we changed to walking lunges with rock over head or in goblet position.\u00a0 (this was not fun)<\/p>\n

Once we got back, people were to do weighted thrusters for the 6.\u00a0 Then we took the rocks back to their rightful place and then we moseyed back to our start point.<\/p>\n

Then we had a little EMOM for Mary.\u00a0 We held a Plank for every other minute of work and had other ab exercises mixed in for minutes at a time.\u00a0 Freddy Merc and Low Flutters after a Minute Plank was nearly impossible.<\/p>\n

After a brutal attempt to name our new FNG, now named Air Ball, we wrapped up a great workout.\u00a0 I will once again invite all the MC to be mentioned by the PAX who were aware of what I missed.<\/p>\n
