{"id":15052,"date":"2021-02-26T10:06:57","date_gmt":"2021-02-26T14:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=15052"},"modified":"2021-02-26T10:06:57","modified_gmt":"2021-02-26T14:06:57","slug":"a-new-path-through-an-old-neighborhood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2021\/02\/a-new-path-through-an-old-neighborhood\/","title":{"rendered":"A New Path through an Old Neighborhood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A PAX of 27 took advantage of ideal running weather to post at this morning&#8217;s OG&#8217;s\/Tractors.\u00a0 Despite running OG routes for six years, YHC realized there were many roads in Buena Vista (just a stone&#8217;s throw from Hanes Park) that I&#8217;d never or seldom run before.\u00a0 Turns out there&#8217;s no straightforward way to include Sussex, Wiley, Carolina Circle, and Meadowbrook on a coherent route, so the front end of our run involved a lot of turns.\u00a0 Plenty of wrong turns were taken, but everybody ended up back in the lot for CoT.\u00a0 Weather was perfect &#8211; dry and 48 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>The Thang:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/4178824525\">Tractors Route &#8211; 4.27 miles<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/4178818726\">OG route &#8211; 6.2 miles<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>NMM:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plunger (a guy that used to do F3Winston-Salem a long time ago) is still EH&#8217;ing all the way from South Carolina.\u00a0 PJ Bruno&#8217;s sister-in-law works with Plunger and PJ just moved down from Long Island.\u00a0 Which, of course, is the birthplace of Mongoose&#8217;s favorite adult beverage, the Long Island Iced Tea.\u00a0 So, we were going to call the FNG Iced Tea (or was it Ice-T?), but then decided to make it Sweet Tea since he&#8217;d moved South.\u00a0 Sweet Tea is already gathering info on where to post tomorrow.<\/li>\n<li>Webelos and Woodpecker made their first trip out to OG&#8217;s after joining F3WS within the last week or two.<\/li>\n<li>Zuck started after everybody else and finished before everybody else.\u00a0 #fast or #antisocial, or both.<\/li>\n<li>Beverly and The Vig were headed back out to run another OG loop.
