Whistles.\u00a0 It was significantly colder at this recreation of CBGB&#8217;s than the original (#RIP).\u00a0 For those of you who don&#8217;t know or who somehow missed YHC&#8217;s dorky yet relentless marketing campaign, CBGB is the self-proclaimed undisputed birthplace of punk founded on the Bowery in NYC by Hilly Krystal in 1973.\u00a0 It hosted and\/or launched the career of a veritable Who&#8217;s Who of bands, including Talking Heads, The Ramones, Elvis Costello, The Police, Blondie, Green Day and many many more.\u00a0 While originally intended to host the namesake <strong>C<\/strong>ountry, <strong>B<\/strong>lue <strong>G<\/strong>rass, <strong>B<\/strong>lues <strong>&amp;<\/strong> <strong>O<\/strong>ther <strong>M<\/strong>usic <strong>F<\/strong>or <strong>U<\/strong>plifting <strong>G<\/strong>ormandizers, it is most known for punk and new wave.\u00a0 And chili (#NotReally).\u00a0 This morning, it stood for: <strong>C<\/strong>urls, <strong>B<\/strong>ent Over Rows, <strong>G<\/strong>oblet Squats, <strong>B<\/strong>ell Swings, <strong>&amp;<\/strong> (Sprint), <strong>O<\/strong>verhead Press, <strong>M<\/strong>erkins, <strong>F<\/strong>ront Raises, <strong>U<\/strong>pright Rows, <strong>G<\/strong>etups, (Run).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warm-O-Rama<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SSH x20 IC<\/li>\n<li>IW x15 IC<\/li>\n<li>Abe Vigoda x10 IC<\/li>\n<li>Whirly With The Clap x10 IC<\/li>\n<li>Peter Parker x10 IC, hold it<\/li>\n<li>Parker Peter x10 IC, hold it<\/li>\n<li>Mountain Climbers x20 IC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Thang, CBGB &amp; OMFUG<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curls<\/li>\n<li>Bent Over Rows<\/li>\n<li>Goblet Squats<\/li>\n<li>Bell Swings<\/li>\n<li>&amp; (Sprint around short loop)<\/li>\n<li>Overhead Press<\/li>\n<li>Merkins<\/li>\n<li>Front Raises<\/li>\n<li>Upright Rows<\/li>\n<li>Getups (Turkish or Prisoner, with or without KB)<\/li>\n<li>Run around longer loop around entrance island<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>First round, 4 reps each.<\/p>\n<p>Second round, 8 reps each.<\/p>\n<p>Third round, 12 reps each.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth round 16 reps each.<\/p>\n<p>At halftime, went back down the ladder until time for Mary (same order of exercises, reducing number of reps each round)<\/p>\n<p><strong>6 Minutes of Mary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LBC x15 IC<\/li>\n<li>Box Cutter x15 IC<\/li>\n<li>Low Flutter x15 IC<\/li>\n<li>Penguin Crunch x15 IC<\/li>\n<li>Mutton Crunch, Right x8 IC<\/li>\n<li>Mutton Crunch, Left x8 IC<\/li>\n<li>High Dolly x13 IC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>COT:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>YHC took us out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FIN.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NMM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shameless marketing and promotion really does work, as 21 were at least curious enough to come check it out after a full week of being force fed daily CBGB concert footage.\u00a0 And YHC limited himself to only 7 days worth as the YouTube rabbit hole re:\u00a0 CBGB was deep and wide and interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody slipped on the ice at turn 1.\u00a0 Nice work.<\/p>\n<p>@Bevo looked like a regular Stiv Bators (lead &#8220;singer&#8221; of Dead Boys) on his Turkish Getups.\u00a0 He just forgot to staple three pieces of bologna to his shirt.<\/p>\n<p>YHC thinks he saw @Manscape throw up the horns as he was rocking out over there.<\/p>\n<p>@BAM&#8217;s mumblechatter game was strong.\u00a0 At least he was moving his mouth a lot.\u00a0 Couldn&#8217;t really make out what he was saying since YHC had strategically located himself right next to the speaker (#SmarterThanILook)<\/p>\n<p>@Spamtan&#8217;s air guitar game on #BallAndChain was rockin&#8217; and @Burlap sang all the girl parts on PrivateIdaho.<\/p>\n<p>There were 5 Hates, 9 Ayes, 6 Respect and 1 Double Respect.\u00a0 All members of the &#8220;Blank Generation&#8221; &#8220;living in the past, it&#8217;s a new generation&#8221;
