The Ruck, how hard could it be to Q?\u00a0 <\/span>You post a route and walk along and solve the problems of the world. Right?\u00a0 <\/span>Well, YHC had never been to one of the official Dashpax Rucks and has only done a few of the pre Bells n Whistles Rucks.\u00a0 <\/span>That is not to say that YHC is a stranger to walking some distance with a pack on his back.\u00a0 <\/span>Just ask all of the pax who have seen YHC try to run – there is always lots of walking.\u00a0 <\/span>Plus in a former life, YHC routinely travelled via Leather Personnel Carriers. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The challenge that YHC faced was where could the Pax go for a lesiurely and safe route with little traffic and hopefully free from ice.\u00a0 <\/span>After multiple routes were dreamt up and ruminated over, and the idea to launch from the BnW AO took hold.\u00a0 <\/span>There are multiple loops from the Clubhouse parking lot (Bells n Whistles temporarily permanent AO) that give various distances\u00a0 <\/span>and the idea was to get between 4 and 5 miles.\u00a0 <\/span>It was settled, we would do a tour of the farm and neighboring developments for the weekly outing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We ended up with around 4.6 miles and elevation gain of 290ft – 423ft depending on the recording device. https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/3862985791<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NMM:<\/p>\n

The morning started off cold and then got a little colder, but thankfully there was no wind.<\/p>\n

The only ice on the route was in the parking lot #sprinklers – someone should tell the HOA<\/p>\n

D-Day intercepted us just over a mile in and was sipping coffee the whole time – seems like we weren\u2019t going fast enough for him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Starfish was testing out his new ruck plate and reported that he felt great after the ruck.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BAM was rocking a great beardsicle this am and Roxy was helping BAM do intervals today.<\/p>\n

We had great discussions this am, especially on how to be a kind and generous neighbor and member of an HOA. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Keep an eye out for a pontoon boat to be docked at Poncho\u2019s house soon. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

YHC took us out giving thanks for each other having the ability to be out and support each other this morning and asked for prayers for Starfish\u2019s mother as she deals with a UTI and also prayers for those who are struggling with troubles and problems spoken and unspoken.\u00a0 <\/span>This is a tought time of year and a particularly tough year for everyone.\u00a0 <\/span>So, reach out to a friend or someone you haven\u2019t talked with in a while and check in with them. Let them know that you are there for them.\u00a0 <\/span>We all know that we are here for each other but sometimes it is easy to forget that there is a brother behind you ready to pick you up when you stumble.\u00a0 <\/span>Be the one to pick up your brother, and be the one who asks for help when you are struggling or if you see someone else struggling.\u00a0 <\/span>We are all in this together. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
