It was a pleasant March morning (coming in like a lamb?) and 4 pax launched for a 2 mi EC run at 0500. We were passed by Sour Mash on the back stretch (in his truck) but when we arrived back at the launch he was out on his own solo EC run.\u00a0 Only Site Q Sassy did not get in extra mileage today pre workout but perhaps he logged some Lent challenge miles on his own later.<\/p>\n
On to the real work of the day.\u00a0 Warmorama consisted of the standards plus a DQ standard the Dry Dock Crab.\u00a0 Pax is finally catching on and there was some pretty good form out there today.\u00a0 Only TSC seemed a little confused and said “What was that again?”<\/p>\n
We then mosey to the lower field for some NFL Combine work.\u00a0 It is the season and YHC seemed to remember Qing some semblance of this workout before or at least YHC had thought it would be a good one and seeing some ESPN Combine highlights over the weekend reminded me of it.<\/p>\n
4 different stations were involved covering 5 of the combine exercises.\u00a0 Bench Press (with one of the benches), Vertical Jump (jumping pullups at the bars), 20 yd Shuttle (on field between cones), 40 yd dash (sprint from gate to end of fence) and Broad Jump (broad jump back to gate – modified on round 2 to 10 jumps).<\/p>\n
Pax divided up to each station and performed exercise.\u00a0 Upon the pax at the 40 yd dash\/broad jump station completing his mission twice, we rotated in a counter clockwise fashion.\u00a0 We completed two full rounds.\u00a0 That got the heart pumping.<\/p>\n
It was almost time for the Band Perry to leave but they moseyed with us over to the far corner of the field where mystery awaited.\u00a0 They chose to leave and attend to other morning duties.\u00a0 That left 3 unknowing pax with a Q who wasn’t really sure himself where he was going and how this would turn out.<\/p>\n
While driving by the AO over the weekend, YHC had spied some seemingly new apparatuses\/apparati? located in the woods between the Y fields and the road that goes to the traffic circle near the school.\u00a0 After stopping to investigate on Sunday, YHC discovered some sort of obstacle course.\u00a0 There are walls, boards, tunnels and ropes scattered along a marked trail.<\/p>\n
With headlamps on we stopped at several of\u00a0 these newfound toys with varying degrees of difficulty and results.\u00a0 Everyone seemed to enjoy both the new variety and the challenge.\u00a0 The Village never disappoints!<\/p>\n
After that fun we moseyed back and got in some Mary and finished right on time.<\/p>\n

Already mentioned the EC run but thanks to all who are pushing each other on accountability for the Lent Challenge<\/p>\n
We were spread out on the combine drills so I didn’t hear much MC but everyone was getting after it<\/p>\n
Sorry Sour Mash and Schneider missed the adventure into the woods<\/p>\n
Fender and TSC scaled the walls while YHC and Sassy twice chose the optional 5 burpees – those count for Lent challenge<\/p>\n
No one fell into the pond with the rope climb<\/p>\n
YHC brought the other ropes today but not enough time – maybe next time<\/p>\n
