{"id":10345,"date":"2019-09-27T15:24:48","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T19:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=10345"},"modified":"2019-09-27T17:05:45","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T21:05:45","slug":"failure-is-an-option","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2019\/09\/failure-is-an-option\/","title":{"rendered":"Failure is an Option"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Warm-o-rama.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Popcorn Warm-o-rama: SSH, Whirlies, Abe Vigodas, IST<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Beatdown.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here\u2019s the deal.\u00a0 We\u2019ll do a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAILURE<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> exercise, a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">REST<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> exercise, and a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WAITING<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> exercise.\u00a0 To make things simple, the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">REST<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> exercise was always <\/span><b>Elbow Plank <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(but when that failed, the member of the PAX did <\/span><b>5 Burpees<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">before returning to Plank).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So after warmups, we attempted to go for an easy mosey to the stage at Bailey Park.\u00a0 Titanium had other ideas, so we chased him around the park for a bit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At the stage area, our goal was <\/span><b>100 Dips<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">failure<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> exercise).\u00a0 When the PAX couldn\u2019t do anymore, he went onstage and performed <\/span><b>25 Mountain Climbers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rest<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> exercise).\u00a0 Then he returned to his <\/span><b>Dips<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> spot and continued until he hit 100 or needed another break.\u00a0 Get it? When he was done, he <\/span><b>Elbow Planked <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">with <\/span><b>Burpees<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">waiting<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> exercise) for the SIX.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Next we headed down into the lower park area.\u00a0 Our exercises were <\/span><b>100 Double Count Knee to the Ground Lunges<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">failure)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>25 Pickle Pounders <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rest<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), and <\/span><b>Elbow Planking <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">with <\/span><b>Burpees<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">waiting<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After that, we went to the train tracks.\u00a0 Our exercises were <\/span><b>50 Pullups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">failure)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>25 WWII <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rest<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), and <\/span><b>Elbow Planking <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">with <\/span><b>Burpees<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">waiting<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Finally we made our way into the Coal Pit.\u00a0 Our exercises were <\/span><b>100 Hand Release Merkins<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">failure)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>25 Heels to Heaven <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rest<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), and <\/span><b>Elbow Planking <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">with <\/span><b>Burpees<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">waiting<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We ran out of time, so back to the launch spot we went.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Finished.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Announcements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Contact Zima if you\u2019re interested in a celebration of completing the #IronPAXChallenge at Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse on Saturday night.\u00a0 Or just come if you like large quantities of food.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Prayers:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">#IPC is wrapping up.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Little House\u2019s son who is at Brenner\u2019s.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Offsides and his daughter.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Zima out.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Warm-o-rama.
